RE'A NEWS App Design
The issue I see within our society is disconnection. People are becoming increasingly distant from one another, dehumanizing each other, living in division and loneliness. Our first response to conflict or differing opinions often becomes anger, defensiveness, and a desire to be understood rather than to understand. Humility, empathy, and patience are fading. Instead, self-absorption and offense have taken their place.
How might we provide young adults with a platform that presents both sides of political and cultural narratives so that they can recognize bias, think critically, and form their own informed perspectives, while grounding their understanding in truth and leaving them with a renewed sense of hope, discernment, and openness to engage in meaningful, empathetic conversations?
The Process
In this project, I researched and proposed a design solution to a complex challenge impacting modern society. I identified a topic I deeply care about (connection and community) conducted research, and worked through the full design cycle.
